St. X Ally Network

In November 1999, St. X alumni Nick Sakurai '99 and Patrick Quealy '99 created the St. X Ally Network website as a resource for sexual minority youth at the school. In August 2002, due to the demands of work, college, and our changing lives, we no longer felt able to maintain the site adequately and monitor its e-mail inbox regularly, so we stopped updating the website and left it up as an information clearinghouse.

In the years since we graduated, much has changed for the better for GLBTQ+ people at St. X and in society at large. While there is still much work to do, and there are still many changes that must happen, we are happy about the brief but impactful role the Ally Network website played in making St. X a safer, more welcoming, and more inclusive place. We decided the site had served its purpose and that it was time to take it down completely.

If you have questions or feedback about the Ally Network, please email patrick@quealy.org.

"To get things changed, you have to tick off the right people. But to get things changed, you also have to get the right people on your side."
